Caring For Birds Of Prey And The Environment

The North Wales Bird Trust became a registered Charity in 2000 in response to the urgent need for an organization to rescue injured wild birds of prey within North wales and Snowdonia.

The North Wales Bird Trust is based at Bodafon Farm Park in Llandudno which is a well known tourist attraction in North Wales. The Charity has a number of well socialized sanctuary owls on display at Bodafon Farm Park for the public to meet.

The main aims of the Charity are to rescue injured birds of prey, visit schools to deliver educational talks with our owls and breed rare and endangered owls.

The owl rescue service is available 365 days  of the year and after rehabilitation these injured owls are returned back to the wild to continue their lives as nature intended.

Our education visits to schools and colleges are very popular and are tailored to meet the needs of the National Curriculum whilst also providing a very personal experience for the youngsters who may be meeting an owl for the very first time.

The NWBT receives no outside funding, we rely upon the generosity of the public to allow us to continue our work with these wonderful birds.

Please enjoy our website.

If we can be of service to you or if you think that you may be able to help in some way we would be delighted to hear from you. Or perhaps, if you are in North Wales, you may just like to visit us in Llandudno. If you telephone us before hand a member of the Charity would be very pleased to give you an individual tour of the birds on display to allow you to meet them personally.
