Adoptions are popular for many special occasions such as birthdays, anniversaries, retirement gifts or even as a special present to yourself!. It could help a child develop a lifelong interest in birds and the environment. It helps keep you in touch with us and What is happening at the centre.
The Trust receives many calls to help with sick or injured wild owls and other birds of prey. In order to help these birds we work in co-operation with a local vet who has the interest and highly specialized knowledge needed for the work. Each ‘rescue’ involves vet’s bills, and the costs of medication and food for the time the individual stays with us. We have also become ‘home’ to many captive bred owls Which were unwanted, abandoned, Ill-treated or even Confiscated by the authorities. Some of these have required long term veterinary care.
